How to Order
AG Optical Systems requires a 50% deposit to
place an order for an iDK, iHW, Newtonian, carbon fiber tube, or
custom system. The balance due on the order is required prior
to shipment of the product to the customer. Personal checks
must clear before AG Optical Systems ships any product.
Do not assume you have placed an order until you explicitly
request the item and have received an invoice from AG Optical
Systems that lists the item
Availability
Typical delivery times range from 3 to 4
months for iDK, iHW, and Newtonian astrographs. Tubes
are usually available within 2 to 3 months. Custom telescopes
delivery times will be determined once customer requirements are
understood.
Order Cancellation
iDK, iHW, and Newtonian astrograph orders
that are canceled are subject to a 3% cancellation fee to be
withheld from the deposit.
Custom telescope and carbon fiber tube
orders that are cancelled are subject to a 100% cancellation fee due
to the custom nature of the order.
Deposits will be returned within 28
business days of the date AG Optical Systems was notified of the
cancellation.
Warranty
AG Optical Systems warrants the products it
manufactures against defects in materials and workmanship for a
period of two years for the original purchaser of the item. AG
Optical Systems at its sole discretion will determine if the product
has defective materials and/or workmanship. The customer will
be responsible for paying all shipping costs associated with the
return of the item and must contact AG Optical Systems prior to
returning the item. If AG Optical Systems determines the item
to be defective in materials and/or workmanship, AG Optical Systems
will reimburse the customer's shipping costs and pay for shipping to
return the item to the customer.
The terms of this warranty are void if the
product is used for a purpose for which it was not designed (to
include solar observations) or is subject to abuse beyond normal
use.
Items not manufactured by AG Optical Systems
are covered by the terms of the original manufacturer.
Other
AG Optical Systems assumes no
responsibility for injuries or other liabilities caused from the use
or misuse of AG Optical Systems products. AG Optical Systems reserve
the right to change all specifications and prices without prior
notice.
